The Kaixa Gear was the third set of Kamen Rider Gear developed by the Smart Brain Corporation to protect the Orphnoch King. The Kaixa Gear was more powerful, but slower than the Faiz Gear.
It still did not match the Delta Gear for speed or strength, but possessed greater functionality. Its power came at a price: while all of Smart Brain's Rider Gears were intended for Orphnochs only, the Kaixa Gear is the only set that will kill any non-Orphnoch user soon after donning it. Its first known wearer is Kouta Takamiya, but the belt destroyed him when he burned up all of his implanted Orphnoch DNA. Two more Ryuseiji members were forced to use the power of Kaixa to protect the others from Smart Brain, and paid for it with their lives.

The suit's primary wearer is Masato Kusaka, who had a great deal more Orphnoch DNA implanted into him, but it began to run out near the end of the series. A weakened Kusaka had his belt taken by Kiba. After recovering his faith in humanity, Kiba as Kaixa joined Takumi and Mihara in battling the fully awakened King, but the Kaixa Gear was destroyed in battle. Other known wearers include Kiyotaka Nishida, Takashi, and Saeko Kageyama (Lobster Orphnoch).
In Paradise Lost, Masato uses the Kaixa Gear to destroy several Orphnochs in the city, later fighting Leo as Psyga at the human's "base" of Paradise, but he loses the belt and is killed. Keitaro then manages to use the Kaixa Gear after two doses of Professor Nomura's "Transform One-Shot" serum, defeating the Lion Orphnoch before the belt disintegrates, Nomura admitting that his invention only works "for one shot".

The Exceed Charge with this weapon is the Kaixa Slash attack, where after one cocks the hammer until it locks, a constricting energy net is then fired from its gun section, while simultaneously over-charging the sword section and temporarily increasing Kaixa's speed for a dashing strike. It can also be used as a simple energized slash attack. It is important to notice that the blade of the Kaixa Blaygun does not cause damage by itself, but due to the energy that it discharges once in contact with the target.
Ganbaride / Ganbarizing
The Kaixa Blaygun is also among the various Rider Weapons used by Ganbarider in Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbarizing.

Side Basshar
Like the SB-555V Auto Vajin, the Side Basher also has limited A.I. and is programmed to help and protect the user of the Kaixa Gear. On a side note, Side Basshar's A.I. seems less advanced than Auto Vajin's, as the occasions where it is seen acting on its own are rare. It is the only Rider support vehicle that survived through both the end of the series and the movie, although its user did not. Its ultimate fate in both cases is unknown however. In the Director's Cut of the movie it was mass produced for Riotrooper use.
Kamen Rider Decade
In the Kamen Rider Decade series, Kaixa attacked Tsukasa using Side Basshar, along with a battalion of Riotroopers. In the movie Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider W & Decade: Movie War 2010, Decade: Final Chapter, Tsukasa used an Attack Ride to transform Machine Decader into Side Basshar (in conjunction with Kamen Rider G4's Gigant) to defeat Kamen Rider J.
OOO, Den-O, All Riders : Let's Go Kamen Riders
Kaixa got on his Side Basshar, among many other Kamen Riders and their Rider Machines, to perform the All Rider Break attack which ended the final battle with Rock Great Leader.
Kamen Rider : Battride War Genesis
The Side Basshar is seen being ridden by a Riotrooper in the game. It is also used by Kaixa as well.

- The main form of the Side Basshar is a sidecar-attached motorcycle as the name suggest. It rarely leaves this form during both the series and the movie. In this form, it can travel through rough terrain safely and its light can shine up to 50 meters ahead and make the roads as clear as it is in the daylight. The side car can be detached from the motorcycle and move on its own. The tires are made of Sol Rubber (a stronger version of Sol Foam) and the main chassis and plating are made from a similar substance to that of the Kamen Rider Gears.

- While saying "BATTLE MODE", the Side Basshar transforms into a walker-type battle Mecha. The sidecar becomes the unit's legs, while the vehicle's wheels transform into arm-like appendages. The fork becomes the right arm; sporting the four-barreled Photon Vulcan, and the double pincered Heat Point capable of generating temperatures up to 2000°C during grappling attacks. The Swing arm becomes the left arm with the exhaust pipes becoming the X-zap Buster that can fire 6 Smart Brain multistage sidewinder mini-missiles, that in turn split into a further 8 micro-missiles (48 in total) with a range of 2400 meters. Despite the transformation of the forks, the handlebars remain connected to the main frame and become the mecha's main controls.
- Though surprisingly fast and mobile for a machine of its size and shape (it is seen jumping up onto a motorway overpass and leaping over an incoming missile barrage), the Side Basshar lacks maneuverability in Battle Mode. It has difficulty tracking more agile targets, and can only attack targets that are in front of it; weaknesses that were exploited by knowledgeable opponents (such as Takumi Inui).
