Double Driver

Double Driver is Kamen Rider Double's transformation belt, a second generation Memory Driver developed for the user to link with Philip to access his abilities, and the successor of the Lost Driver in terms of belt design. Unlike earlier models, the Double Driver uses two Gaia Memories at once for even more power for the user. There is only one physical Double Driver, but when Shotaro places it on him, another Double Driver manifests itself onto Philip.

Functionality

By inserting the Gaia Memories into the respective Memory Slots on their belt buckles, Shotaro and Philip can transform into Kamen Rider Double. The Left Slot holds Shotaro's Gaia Memories and the Right Slot holds Philip's. When Philip puts a Gaia Memory into the Right Slot, he undergoes Soul Forward, sending his soul to Shotaro to transform both of them into Kamen Rider Double. The process causes Philip's body to fall into a comatose state.

Another slot on the right side of the Double Driver is called the Maximum Slot. When a Memory is placed in the Maximum Slot, Kamen Rider Double can use a Maximum Drive finisher attack. This specific slot is used for the Joker Memory to execute one of three different Maximum Drive finishers depending on Double's current form.

In other forms, it can be used to insert the right half's Memory, allowing for a Twin Maximum attack, but this is immensely dangerous due to the strain it puts on Shotaro's body. During the final battle with the Utopia Dopant, Kamen Rider Double CycloneJokerXtreme places the Prism Memory in the Maximum Slot to execute the Double Prism Xtreme Maximum Drive.

As long as the Double Driver is worn by both Shotaro and Philip, they can telepathically communicate with each other provided that both of them are conscious outside the transformation to Kamen Rider Double. The transformation into Kamen Rider Double will be canceled if both Gaia Memories are removed and none are re-inserted for a certain amount of time.

Double Xtreme Memory

Transforming Gaia Bird Xtreme Memory

Transforming Gaia Bird Xtreme Memory is a special bird-like Gaia Memory that allows Kamen Rider Double to become CycloneJokerXtreme by changing from Live Mode to Memory Mode in order to slide onto the Double Driver. It first appears when Philip is in mortal danger from being attacked by the Weather Dopant, and it digitizes him where Shroud confronts him about his mission to save the Earth. The Xtreme Memory's powers come directly from the true Gaia Memory and are accessed through the Crystal Server on CycloneJokerXtreme.

It seems that the power source of the Xtreme Memory is wind power, as shown in the movie Kamen Rider Double Forever: A to Z/The Gaia Memories of Fate. To initiate its Maximum Drive, the Double Xtreme, the Xtreme Memory is closed and then re-opened. A variation of the Double Xtreme, the Double Prism Xtreme, is where Kamen Rider Double inserts the Prism Memory in the Maximum Slot of the Double Driver before closing and re-opening the Xtreme Memory. When Philip dissolves after his final battle as Kamen Rider Double, the Xtreme Memory which holds the data of his mind and body does as well. However, after Wakana sacrifices her life, she brings back the Xtreme Memory which holds Philip's body until his physical form is restored.


Gaia Memory

Gaia Memor is a mysterious device resembling a USB flash drive that contains all of the Earth's knowledge of what it represents. This enables its user to become a Dopant, or in some special cases a Kamen Rider. Every Gaia Memory is adorned with the first letter of its name, stylized to reflect the powers it imbues on its user. For example, the Injury Memory (acquired by Shotaro and Philip before the series begins) resembles a broken bone in the shape of the letter I.

Metal Shaft



The Metal Shaft is an extendable quarter staff used by Kamen Rider Double when he assumes any form that uses the Metal Memory. It first appears in Kamen Rider Decade: All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker, and then made its TV debut in episode 2.

Finishing Attacks

When the Metal Memory is placed into the the Metal Shaft's Maximum Slot, Double can execute one of three different Rider Thrust Maximum Drive finishers depending on his current form.

Memory Drivers



Memory Drivers are a series of transformation belts that filter the raw power of Gaia Memories. Those who transform without the use of a Memory Driver but through the use of Living Connector would eventually be driven insane. Those who use Memories with no Living Connector would be severely injured at the site of entry if there is no Living Connector present. There have been three Memory Drivers seen in the series, and four different designs were built.

First Generation Memory Drivers

Gaia Driver

Gaia Driver is the First Generation Memory Driver used widely by the members of the Sonozaki Family to avoid the corruptive nature of the Gaia Memories. It is considered a prototype Memory Driver belt for the later Generation of Memory Driver belts, as it was still intended to be used for Dopant transformation. Unlike the later Generation of Memory Driver belts, the Gaia Memories, when inserted into the Gaia Driver, are absorbed into the belt, behaving just like a Memory inserted into a Living Connector.

Second Generation Memory Drivers

Lost Driver

Lost Driver is the transformation belt, which is shown used by Kamen Riders Skull, Joker and Eternal. It is a Second Generation Memory Driver and its design is the same as the Double Driver except it has only one Memory Slot to insert a Gaia Memory. Said Gaia Memory must also be a clear one as regular ones don`t seem to be accessible. The Skull Lost Driver was given to Sokichi Narumi by Shroud to aid him in his battle against Museum.

Double Driver

Double Driver is the transformation belt for Kamen Rider Double. It is a Second Generation Memory Driver based on the Lost Driver design and was the third to be built in the series. However unlike the Gaia Driver, the Lost Driver and the Accel Driver, which all only have one Memory Slot, the Double Driver has two Memory Slots that allow two clear Gaia Memories to be inserted and give the user more power.

Third Generation Memory Drivers

Accel Driver

The Accel Driver is Kamen Rider Accel transformation belt. It is a Third Generation Memory Driver and was the fourth to be built and appear in the series. Unlike the previous three Memory Driver belts that were presumably manufactured by the Museum Corporation, the Accel Driver, as well as its weapon and Gaia Memory, were built by Shroud instead of Museum. She built them for her own plan against the Museum, and the Driver was given to Ryu Terui, who wanted revenge on the person responsible for murdering his family.
