Gideon (AI)



Publication Information Gideon is an interactive artificial consciousness used by Eobard Thawne. It was hidden in the Time Vault inside S.T.A.R. Labs. Though it is used by Eobard, it was created by Barry Allen in the future. In order to manage her operating system, one needs the Reverse-Flash ring.

3 years later (Exactly 1078 days later), she was activated once again, this time by Harrison Wells from Earth-2. Gideon asked him how can she help, and Harry said that a lot has changed in the last 3 years. Gideon is later hijacked by Clifford DeVoe using Kilg%re's powers, enabling him to hijack S.T.A.R. Labs' satellite to replace one of five that Barry destroyed for his Enlightenment. He also plugged in a vial of dark matter and Neil Borman's former miniaturized cell-turned nuclear fusion battery into her console to transmit the energy to the satellites.

Time Vault

Time Vault

Publication Information Time Vault, a name coined by Cisco Ramon, is a secret room located in S.T.A.R. Labs. It is also where Gideon and the Reverse-Flash suit were stored. Eobard Thawne had secretly used this room to monitor Barry Allen and his team, and he had occasionally asked Gideon to show him archives from the future, to make sure that the timeline had not changed.

Year One

Eobard Thawne had Gideon keep a newspaper article that explained the battle with him in the future, apparently going back in time to the night of Barry's mother's murder. The night of the particle accelerator explosion after Cisco informed Eobard of Ronnie saving the facility, Eobard went to the vault to access his hidden camera inside Barry's crime lab to verify that his plan to create the Flash had succeeded. After Blackout stole Barry's powers, Eobard returned to the vault, ordering Gideon to scan the timeline for any mention of the Flash, to ensure that the future remained intact.

Year Two

Six months after Eobard was erased from existence, the time vault remained unused until Cisco and Harrison Wells of Earth Two discover a spare Reverse-Flash costume in the vault. After Christmas, Harry lured Cisco into the Time Vault and startled him by wearing the Reverse-Flash costume, confirming his theory that fear or adrenaline is what triggers Cisco's vibes. Cisco then vibed on the costume and learns that a younger version of Eobard had arrived in their time. Following the kidnapping of Wally West and Barry having to give up his speed to Zoom to return him, Harry and Joe kept Wally and Jesse in the vault for their protection with supplies.

Year Three

During the Dominators' invasion of Earth, Barry went into the Time Vault to check the newspaper article about his disappearance from 2024, only to find Iris West-Allen was no longer the author, assumed to be due to Flashpoint. Oliver Queen insisted that the future article was meaningless and assured Barry that if he or anyone else had his powers, they would've done the same thing as he did to save his parents and reveals to him how his own parents died.

On May 23, 2017, after Savitar unknowingly killed H.R. Wells in Iris' place, Barry, Iris and Joe return to the Time Vault and confirmed that the future article's author was Iris West-Allen. Later on, Barry and Iris stare at the Reverse-Flash costume, the former remarking how much he hates Thawne and Zoom for murdering his parents and how he hated Savitar for almost killing Iris.

A ring owned by Eobard Thawne is used in relation to his Reverse-Flash suit. It bears a lightning bolt symbol similar to that sported on the Reverse-Flash's suit. The ring was first technically seen on Eobard Thawne's hand when he pushed Barry back with his hand. Later, he used the ring in order to open a containment pod with the Reverse-Flash suit within it in order to put the tachyon prototype on it.

Aftermath

After Harrison Wells from Earth Two donned the suit to trick Grodd, Barry made a decision to destroy the suit, but he took the ring and asked Cisco to reverse engineer it. Barry wanted to figure out how to put the suit back in the ring, so that he can use it to carry his suit in a more subtle and accessible way. Unfortunately, Cisco had yet to find a way to compress the suit into the ring, which led him to question a younger version of Eobard Thawne, but received no answer.

Key

This ring served as a key to at least two things. Eobard was able to feed his suit that was in the ring through a pink slot, and the suit draped over the pod inside. Also, the ring was the only way to access Gideon's operating system.



Time Stone

Publication Information A time stone is a stone with the capability of traveling throughout time and space. It was presumably created by Mallus. At one point, Mallus presumably created the time stone and presented them to his most loyal followers. After Kuasa was resurrected, she was given a time stone presumably by Mallus or one of his followers, and she used it after being defeated by Amaya Jiwe in Seattle 2042. Nora Darhk was shown to wield a time stone after the resurrection of her father, who at some point also acquired one. When Grodd was recruited, Damien Darhk gave him one as well.

Time Sphere

Time Sphere

Publication Information Time Spheres are transportable containment spheres used in time travel, in order to make the process easier. Cisco Ramon created a Time Sphere for Eobard Thawne, who was to travel through a wormhole back to his own time. Ronnie Raymond noted that it included tungsten, known for both the highest melting point of all metals and for having flammable dust that could potentially melt a hole, causing an explosion. In order to prevent this, Eobard suggested that Cisco cement the tiles of the sphere with a cobalt resin to prevent degradation in cases of extreme heat. Despite its creation, Barry Allen torpedoed back through the wormhole, smashing the sphere and disabling Eobard from traveling through time.

Rip Hunter designed the first Time Sphere at some point in the future and the designs of which were obtained by Eobard, who would eventually use them to make the 21st century version. In 1987, Eobard Thawne had a Time Sphere due to unknown circumstances. Eobard Thawne insisted that he and Damien Darhk both change their destinies by traveling to the future and stopping what happened to them so they could acquire a new destiny. Damien Darhk entered the Time Sphere and Eobard Thawne circulated around it, propelling itself off the ground. By doing this, the Speed Force opened and Thawne along with Darhk entered it, traveling to the future.
